Mobile Ad Revenue Surpasses Desktop

Smartphones are still a relatively new technology, although they seem necessary for everyday life now. As mobile usage increases, companies increase ad spending and 2017 marks the first year where there was more spent on mobile advertisement than desktop. The digital ad spending category as a whole also surpassed TV for most ad spending at a total of $72.5 billion, compared to TVs $71.3 billion. Of the $72.5 billion that digital ads pull in, Google alone earns over 75% of that.
