The printing industry is in a precarious place. Margins are continually getting lower and lower as printers struggle to get business in the competitive market. Printers are totally focused on getting more efficient equipment and offering new services, but have little focus on expanding the software they need to keep their business running smoothly. InfoTrends/Keypoint Intelligence's ​U.S. Production Software Investment Outlook InfoTrends 2017 found that the most common solution to a problem was a point solution, which is not optimal. Another thing found was that in 2015, 9% of respondents had automated opperations, while in 2017, that number decreased to 8%.
