Scientists push for the Commercial Adoption of Rewritable Paper

University of California's Yin Group, led by Professor Yadong Yin, has created a UV reactive paper that can be rewritten on. The prints last up to 5 days, and can be rewritten up to 80 times. You can also erase the print by heating the paper up to 120-150°C. The paper, which uses Prussian blue dye and titanium oxide nanoparticles, can produce images that are either blue on white, or white on blue.

The process has been researched for a few years, and the current method can be used with regular paper. Detail up to 10 microns can be acheived and can have opacity comparable to inkjet printers.
